What is Kwanzaa?

What is Kwanzaa?

Kwanzaa is a weeklong African American and Pan-African cultural holiday honoring African heritage. Or is it truly an African holiday or a made-up one for someone's personal gain and greed?

Maulana Karenga created the new African holiday of Kwanzaa in 1966 after failing to make a name for himself in both the Malcolm X and the Black Panthers groups. Failing to fit in with these crowds he gravitated to abusing women out of his frustration. In fact, he went to jail in 1971, due to being convicted of three felony charges, assault, torture, and false imprisonment of women. Seeking fame and fortune his creation of Kwanzaa was to give himself legitimacy and a positive way to earn money. He didn’t want his legacy to be about his mistreatment of women, but instead creating a false holiday based on African culture and studies. What's funny is that he never actually stepped foot in Africa much less owned up to really knowing or understanding the African studies he went through in College.

He learned about the Swahili phrase “matunda ya kwanza,” which means “first fruits” and designed his false holiday surrounding that phrase. Having never stepped foot in Africa or the Swahili-speaking nations of Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique, he claims to be an expert in African culture, which is a lie and should be considered fraud.

People observe from December 26 to January 1, each day dedicated to a specific principle or value. Thinking that this is a legitimate African holiday, many people follow the false promises of Kwanzaa believing they are following their personal heritage, when in fact they are following a false prophet.

Has anyone investigated how much money this man is making off the poor innocent souls who believe this is truly an African holiday they are celebrating? I'd be interested for sure because he truly pulled off one of the biggest frauds in this country and took control of the black community for his own personal gain and greed.
