Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania one of the original 13 colonies of the United States is also one of the most beautiful states in the Union filled with history, culture, and natural splendor, and outdoor adventure activities you could ever ask for in a state.

Let us start off with one of my favorite cities and tourist attractions, Kennett Square, home of the world's largest mushroom festivals, and my favorite attraction Longwood Gardens. Once the home and property of the DuPont Family who loved gardening, today you can visit the gardens throughout the entire year to see the various flora and fauna in their full beauty and color. I highly recommend you take a trip to the Longwood Gardens if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Lancaster is another great town in Pennsylvania where you'll find everything Amish sprinkled amongst the rolling hills and lush farmlands that make up the landscape. You'll find the best farmers markets, and antique stores along with the Trout Run Nature Preserve and of course the Lancaster Brewery.

History is all around Pennsylvania, if you like Civil War History don't forget to visit Gettysburg and learn about the Battle of Gettysburg and when you finish getting your fill of history don't forget to visit the local vineyard for a glass of wonderful local wine and then visit one of the many local restaurants in the area.

If you like Victorian architecture try a visit to the golden age of the Pocono Mountains area of Milford where you'll not only fine old Golden Age history but also amazing culture and grandeur like you've never seen before. This area was once the vacation home area of the Duponts, JP Morgan, Rockefeller, and other multi-rich individuals of the late 1800s and early 1900s.

How about some early American History tourist attractions like Valley Forge which was once George Waashington's winter encampment between 1777 and 1778. Let us not forget Philadelphia where the first Continental Congress met to create this wonderful Country. You can visit Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and walk the streets where Thomas Jefferson,  Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and other founding fathers once walked and maybe pop into a local pub that maybe they dined in or had a pint of ale after a hard day of debating politics.
