LBJ was a die-hard Texan who loved everything and anything BBQ
or Spicy Chili.
Although he would start off his mornings with a plate of
creamed chipped beef on toast with a side of scrambled eggs, he’d also switch
things up and substitute the creamed chipped beef with a hearty steak.
For lunch, he’d usually have a bowl of split pea soup with a
sandwich or a large bowl of spicy Texas Chili.
For dinner, he would relish fried chicken, or chicken fried
steak, roast beef or fried or poached fish with a side of various veggies and
corn bread.
