Andrew Jackson - Tenderloin with Jezebel Sauce

Andrew Jackson - Tenderloin with Jezebel Sauce

Andrew Jackson was a bit of a snob, even though he was from Tennessee. His White House dinners consisted of haute cuisine and a bit of a finer down to earth menu, such as tenderloin with Jezebel Sauce.

I actually made this dish once, and it was surprisingly delicious.

Jackson also loved Leather Britches with his high-end meals. Leather Britches are actually pan-fried French-style green beans. I had to laugh when I heard my favorite green beans were called Leather Britches.
