Thomas Jefferson Fine Wine, French Vanilla Ice Cream and Virginia Ham

Thomas Jefferson grew up and lived in Virginia, one of 8 presidents to have come from Virginia. His plantation, Monticello is breathtaking to visit and enjoy. His taste for food and fine wine would be considered excentric in today's terms. He would also have been called a foodie if the term was used back in his day. After being in France for a while, as the Minister to France, he grew to love fine French wines and French Cuisine.

However, his love for food from Virginia, such as Virginia Ham was not far from his heart. Along with Macaroni and Cheese which he fell in love with while in Europe. And of course, Virginia Sweet Corn.

For dessert he enjoyed a bowl of French Vanilla Ice Cream from a recipe from his French Butler and cook.
