James Madison Virginia Ham and The Dolly Madison Cake

James Madison was the shortest president and little was known of his culinary favorites, but having been from Virginia, we can assume he loved Virginia Ham and varied side dishes. He was also not a snacker of sugary foods with the exception of the cake named after his wife, Dolly Madison.

He was also not a snacker of sugary foods with the exception of the cake named after his wife, Dolly Madison.  The Dolly Madison Cake is delicate white cake smothered in an amazing brown sugar sauce. Try it it's great.
