Jill
Biden, born in Hammonton, New Jersey in 1951, is currently serving as the First
Lady of the United States alongside her husband, President Joe Biden. Growing
up in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, Jill worked hard from a young age and pursued
her education with determination. She met Joe Biden on a blind date in 1975 and
the couple married in 1977, raising a family together while Jill continued her
career as an English teacher. She earned multiple degrees and worked tirelessly
to support her family and her community. Jill Biden made history as the first
vice president's spouse to maintain a paying job while her husband was in
office. Her dedication to education and her advocacy for military families have
left a lasting impact. Jill Biden's story is one of resilience, strength, and
unwavering commitment. However, as first lady she hasn’t accomplished anything
earth-shattering to mention as of yet compared to her predecessors who were in
the same role.
In the
year 2020, Joe Biden threw his hat into the ring for the third time, vying for
the presidency. Surprisingly, Jill Biden decided to step away from her usual
duties to play a pivotal role in his campaign. By April, Joe Biden had secured
the Democratic nomination. The party's national convention was held virtually
due to the ongoing pandemic, where Jill Biden delivered a heartfelt speech
praising her husband's character and his potential to bring healing to a nation
grappling with a deadly virus and deep political divides. Following a fierce
and heated battle, Joe Biden emerged victorious over President Donald Trump on
November 3rd. Despite Trump's claims of voter fraud, Biden was inaugurated as
the 46th president on January 20th amidst heightened security measures.
