Herbert Hoover had a sweet tooth for sure because one of his favorite dishes was a plate filled with caramel tomatoes. 

For breakfast, while we in modern times crave a custard egg or quiche, Hoover enjoyed what is known as Egg Timbales. A rich custard with herbs, which is similar to a quiche.
